The first time you open Sownata you will see these screens…

When you subsequently open Sownata you’ll just be taken to Add Event (unless Sownata’s been updated; in which case you’ll see a short summary of what’s changed first).

If you’ve downloaded Sownata to help you visualise your Netflix / YouTube data (i.e. data that can be automatically loaded) then just swipe left / right and follow the instructions.
If you’re not really sure what Sownata is all about then you might want to load some Sample Data. It’s as simple as tapping the button to add the data (and tapping it again to remove it). It doesn’t matter if you have other data stored in Sownata; it knows which data is sample data and which data is real. Sample Data is a great way to learn how to interact with data in Sownata.
The Sample data includes Exercise, Watch and Indulge Events…

The data is intended to be realistic. You should try to navigate around the dashboard to “get a feeling” for what the data means.
Here are some questions that should be asked when looking at the Sample Data in the Dashboard…
1 – Exercise / Running

Over the last six months has there has been…
- …an increase in number of runs?
- …an increase in the time spent running?
- …an increase in distance ran?
2 – Watch

- Have there been any spikes in viewing?
- How do the viewing habits of the profiles compare?
3 – Indulge

- Has one vice been replaced by another?
We’re still working on the best way to introduce people to Sownata but for now we hope that adding some sample data will help people to become familiar with the interface.
